Carriable Art

Through the concept of architecture as its base, the beauty of color, and the ingenuity to bring forth the best look of the material, yuhaku’s design is projected as a small piece of art.

yuhaku continues to use the best conceivable technology, craftsmanship, and ideas in order to enhance the existent value of daily necessities, such as purses, bags or shoes, as artwork.

In the same way that there is a unique personality for each human being, so is there a unique personality for each piece of leather. yuhaku’s products are hand-dyed and thus no two products are the same. Every product is one-of-a-kind. And because no two products are exactly the same, the interaction with the leather becomes that much more fascinating.

Facing Leather

yuhaku believes that to “face leather” is the same as facing yourself.

Of course, yuhaku’s products will lose their original grace if not treated affectionately. The loss of the leather’s elegance is never satisfactory. However, if treated with care, its beautiful condition will be preserved even after 5 years.

The time used to care for something attentively, and handle it with consideration, can also be viewed as time spent for yourself. When you start to enjoy these patient moments, then it’s the right time to get one of yuhaku’s leather products. The time spent caring for the product is also time spent growing your soul. Please enjoy this time through yuhaku.

Attention to Detail

Manual labor by craftsmen is done delicately while machine technology requires experience and intuition. These key factors are necessary to create “good quality products”, but on the other hand, they are obvious.
yuhaku’s leather products value the deeper and more hidden details rather than those that are obvious. One example of such is dyeing. Techniques such as Patina, seen in Europe, is a color gradient which colors similarly to makeup. yuhaku succeeded in expressing gradation by its unique skill which arranged a painting technique that repeatedly dyes the leather by hand. The ink dye permeates into the texture. The leather is dyed more than 15 times by hand, using a cloth soaked with ink dye, and then further dyeing even one spot of perforation with a cotton swab.
With regards to sewing, yuhaku changes facilities freely, depending on the features of the product, from yuhaku’s own workshop to the factory in Italy which has the latest machine technology. yuhaku designs even the smallest metal features and casts, and aims to be a total coordinate design factory. Always seeking the best quality and an excellent feel, yuhaku will even reduce the leather by 0.1 millimeters in order to satisfy that goal.
These points are hardly visible and are considerably small details, but it is the attention to detail that makes the products better and more comfortable to use and touch. yuhaku believes that attention to detail is a natural effort to create products that have the power to appeal to the human senses unwittingly.
